Health and Safety

Lammack is dedicated to promoting Healthy lifestyles by encouraging children to be active participants in many sporting activities. These include football, cricket, athletics, tag rugby, running, swimming, netball, rounders, dance and gymnastics.

Children receive a minimum of 2 hours of sports each week and at Key Stage 2 can access the several after school clubs. We take part in all local sporting tournaments and events. We are proud to have been awarded the FA Charter Standard for schools.

Children and parents receive regular information about Healthy Eating and we received the National Healthy Schools Standard 2007-2010 Eating Standard (Summer 2005). We are part of the National Fruit Scheme and every Key Stage 1 child recieves one portion of fruit each school day.

We work closely with the school nurse and medical services. They can be contacted at Montague Health Centre on 268363.

Children are educated to understand the need for personal and collective safety both in and out of school.
